I help you get closer to yourself

Do you find yourself running on autopilot, stuck in the same reactions, replaying the past or worrying about the future? You may be functioning on the outside, but inside the tension keeps building and the same difficulties keep showing up in your relationships. Maybe you feel overwhelmed, or you're in the middle of a change and can't see clearly which way to go.

As a Gestalt therapist, I help you understand what's happening inside you in these moments so that old, automatic patterns stop running the show, and instead of just reacting, you have a choice.

If you walk this path with me, I'll help you learn to stay with your feelings rather than run from them.

I offer individual therapy in Budapest, in person and online, in Hungarian and English.

How I work

What I bring to my work is not diagnosis or judgement, but presence, attention and curiosity. A relationship where we grow together, and where you don't have to pretend you're fine to be accepted. Rather than trying to change other people or your circumstances, I help you, step by step, to get closer to yourself so you can take more responsibility for your life, even in the small, everyday choices.

A session can start from a specific problem, question or dilemma and sometimes just being in the therapeutic relationship is enough for something to surface.

We don't only talk. We also pay attention to what happens beneath the words: a sigh, a tension in the shoulders, a sudden change of subject.

And then we slow down. Sometimes we simply stay with a feeling and sit with it. Sometimes we experiment by trying out new perspectives and different responses, and see how they land for you.

It's okay to be uncertain, angry, tired or empty.
You don't have to perform. I won't tell you what you should do, instead I'll help you notice what feels true for you.

My work does not constitute medical or psychiatric treatment and is not psychotherapy. I support people without clinical mental health diagnoses in self-awareness, personal growth, and recognising and moving through what holds them back.

What is Gestalt

Gestalt therapy is a method of self-discovery rooted in the present moment and in relationship.

It starts with what is happening in you right now: in your thoughts, your feelings, your body and your connections with others. It doesn't offer ready-made answers, but helps you see how you actually function.

As you become more aware of how you react, how you connect, and how you disconnect from yourself, new possibilities slowly begin to open up.

Gestalt is not a quick fix. It's a deeper relationship with yourself.

Gestalt therapy might be helpful for you if…

  • you find it hard to say no
  • you tend to over-adapt to others
  • you lose yourself in conflict
  • you keep finding yourself in the same relationship patterns
  • you live with ongoing anxiety or a tension you can't quite shake
  • you struggle with self-confidence
  • you find it hard to make decisions
  • you've lost touch with yourself and feel empty
  • you find it difficult to understand or express what you truly need
  • you're going through a breakup or a loss
  • you feel stuck in your work
  • you're on the edge of burnout
  • you're in a life transition

About me

My own path hasn't always been easy either.

I grew up in a family where alcohol was present. Early on, I learned to watch others closely, to adapt, and to pick up on what people were feeling. That sensitivity later became a resource in my work but it took time to learn how to turn that same attention toward myself.

I've lived in California and Barcelona, worked in advertising, and spent close to twenty years in the film industry. I thrived in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and I was good at holding it together. But for a long time, something felt missing on the inside.

In 2010, in Barcelona, I encountered Gestalt for the first time. That was where I first experienced what it means to be present with what is. It set me on a path that led, in 2019, to training as a Gestalt therapist and eventually to making it my calling.

I know what it feels like to be lost, to feel the fear, and to slowly find your way back to yourself. As a therapist I bring this experience into my work.

I believe we always have a choice, and that within a safe and accepting therapeutic relationship there is room to grow and find our way back to ourselves.

I earned my BA in Business in San Francisco. I later completed a four year training in Gestalt therapy, jointly offered by the Norsk Gestaltinstitutt and the Budapest Gestalt Institute. Personal growth has been an important part of my life, and I have done several hundred hours of personal therapy over the years. I currently work with clients under regular supervision.
